Carlo Colombo

Сarlo Colombo – Italian architect and designer.
Born in 1968 in Italian town of Carimate.


In 1993, he obtained the Diploma in Architecture at Milan Polytechnic University, where he became a lecturer at Furniture Design Department in 1996.


The most famous amongst his works in the sphere of furniture design are: Archimede bed and Zigo Zago carpet for Cappellini, also Tender sink (Elle Décor award) and Nicolò table (MD magazine award) for Poliform. In 2004 he was named the Designer of the Year. Since 1996 he has been a lecturer at Furniture Design Department of Milan Polytechnic University. He holds conferences and work-shops in industrial design in different countries of the world.


Classic of modern Italian minimalism. His favorite colors are black and white, never fading away. Laconic style by Colombo is very popular: he builds residences in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, designs villas in Como, Lugano, St. Moritz. As a furniture designer, he works with famous Italian furniture companies (POLIFORM, MOROSO, ZANOTTA and CAPPELLINI). For the latest 3 years he’s been holding the position of art-director at ARFLEX.
